Custom Photobooks For Children

Reading Their Own Book - Custom PhotobookI have been working with a couple of local children, that I sometimes babysit, to help them create their own books similar to the ones my kids finished.

Their dad paid for the books to be published, and I have been going through some questions with them – things like what they want to be when they grow up, where they think they’ll live, who they’ll marry…(the little boy is 5, and he is my 4 year old daughter’s “boyfriend” – so they have both said they are marrying each other!).

It really is so cute to hear some of the things they are telling me!  I am not going to post them here, because I am going to put them into the books for their parent’s – and don’t want to spoil the surprise.  But, kids have such a unique way of thinking about things, and their outlook on life is just so different from us – that when you really sit down and talk to them, it makes things really come into perspective.

I love doing this with kids – just because a book like this will be such a wonderful keepsake when they are older.

Who knows – maybe some of what they are thinking will happen, will actually come true.  Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to say that you already knew that when you were 5?

My 11 year old niece has also been working on a book for herself – and it is wonderful.  This is something I wish I had been able to do when I was a kid – but of course, computers were just making their debut when I was in school, so something like this was not even an option.  I am trying to get her to write a letter to herself for the last page – a letter of things she wants to tell her 30 year old self – what she hopes to have done by then, places she will like to have been – things like that.

If you have kids – this really is something that can be a great way to bond with them.  Asking the questions and putting them in writing – it really is something special.

Our photobook software is so simple to use, and the options for sizes and publishing formats is incredible – with a price range for everyone.  Give it try – it is free, and you have nothing to lose by trying it out!

Child's Personalized PhotobookYesterday, I received the two books my daughters had spent so much time working on.  Well, we worked on them together…..they told me what to type and I put it into the books for them.

They were thrilled – and so proud!  But, I think I am even more happy with these little books.  They truly show some of the things that are important to my girls – things that maybe we just take for granted and don’t realize they notice or care about.

And, I am hoping to get them doing one every couple of years, at least.

Can you imagine how it will feel to be able to read through these books when they have grown up – and to be able to watch them growing up all over again?

They have wrote about what they think they will be when they grow up – and my four year old has even decided who she is going to marry!  They have wrote what their favorite colors are, their favorite foods – who their friends are…everything that is important to them.

I want to make sure you realize just how amazing and powerful these photobooks can be.  They can be so much more than a scrapbook – they can literally be a way of recording moments and memories that might otherwise just be lost.

Working on these books with my girls has been wonderful – and seeing their reactions when they got the books in the mail, was priceless.  That is just a feeling that you will treasure always – watching them glowing when they are reading through the book that they wrote.

If you have kids – please!  Take the time to sit down and do one of these little books with them – trust me, it is something that you can all enjoy and remember forever.
